Multimedia Feedback & Attachments

Enrich review threads with voice notes, screen video recordings, image attachments, and live Figma embeds.

Overview

Text comments can sometimes struggle to convey nuanced visual interactions, complex animations, or subtle styling discrepancies. UIDesigner Review includes native multimedia feedback tools so designers, product managers, and clients can express feedback with maximum fidelity.

Voice Notes

Leave rapid, asynchronous spoken feedback directly pinned to any interface element:

  1. Click an element to open the comment composer.
  2. Click the Microphone icon in the toolbar.
  3. Allow browser microphone access when prompted.
  4. Speak your feedback (up to 3 minutes per clip).
  5. Click Stop to preview your waveform and audio.
  6. Press Submit to post.

Teammates can play back voice notes directly within the thread at 1x, 1.25x, 1.5x, or 2x speed. Spoken notes are also automatically transcribed into searchable text so tickets remain easily indexed.

Screen Video Recordings

When a visual bug involves multi-step user interactions, dropdown transitions, or layout shifts, record a concise screen clip:

  • Click the Record Screen icon in the composer.
  • Choose your capture source: entire screen, current browser tab, or application window.
  • Click and drag an optional area box to focus on a specific component.
  • Record interactions up to 60 seconds.
  • UIDesigner compresses the clip into an optimized web-friendly stream playable in-line.

Image & Asset Uploads

You can attach screenshots, reference designs, mockups, and PDFs directly to any comment:

  • Clipboard Paste: Press Cmd + V (macOS) or Ctrl + V (Windows) anywhere inside the composer to paste clipboard images immediately.
  • Drag & Drop: Drag JPEG, PNG, SVG, GIF, or WebP files directly into the comment card.
  • Lightbox Preview: Teammates can click any attached image to open a full-resolution lightbox with zoom and panning.

Figma Embeds

Bridge the gap between design specs and live front-end implementations by linking Figma frames directly into your review threads:

  1. In Figma, right-click any frame or component and select Copy link to frame.
  2. Paste the Figma URL directly into the UIDesigner comment composer.
  3. UIDesigner automatically recognizes the link and embeds an interactive Figma canvas preview.
  4. Developers can view design tokens, layer hierarchies, and typography styles side-by-side with the live DOM.
