Converting visual design feedback and accessibility audit issues into engineering tickets often requires manual screenshots, copy-pasting URLs, and duplicating issue statuses across tools. UIDesigner's native integrations with Linear and Atlassian Jira automate this entire handoff cycle.
Connecting Linear
- In UIDesigner, navigate to Settings → Integrations (
/settings/integrations). - Locate the Linear integration card and click Connect.
- Authorize the UIDesigner OAuth application with your Linear account.
- Select your default Linear Team and Project for synced tickets.
- Choose your default issue state mapping (e.g., map UIDesigner
Opento LinearTodo, andResolvedtoDone).
Connecting Jira Cloud
- In Settings → Integrations, click Connect Jira.
- Sign in with your Atlassian account and select your Jira Cloud site.
- Map your target Jira Project, Issue Type (e.g.,
BugorTask), and field mappings. - Click Save Configuration.
Exporting Issues from Review & Audit
From any review comment thread or audit finding card:
- Click the Export to Issue button.
- Choose Linear or Jira.
- UIDesigner instantly creates the issue populated with:
- High-resolution target element screenshot with highlighted bounding box.
- Page URL, target viewport, and exact DOM selector path.
- Technical context (browser user agent, window size, OS).
- Remediation code snippets and WCAG criterion references (for audit issues).
Bi-Directional Status Sync
Status synchronization works in both directions in real time:
- When a developer marks a ticket as
Donein Linear orClosedin Jira (or closes it via a git PR commit likeFixes ENG-104), the corresponding comment pin or audit finding in UIDesigner is automatically updated to Resolved. - Conversely, resolving the thread within the UIDesigner canvas updates the status in your tracker.
