Health Score Overview
Every audit run produces a normalized Health Score ranging from 0 to 100. This score provides leadership and engineering teams with an objective benchmark of production readiness.
Dimension Weighting Breakdown
The composite health score is calculated as a weighted average across core audit dimensions:
| Dimension | Category Weight | Focus Area |
|---|---|---|
| Accessibility (WCAG) | 30% | Conformance with WCAG 2.1 AA standards |
| Responsive Integrity | 25% | Cross-device stability, viewport overflows |
| Performance & Vitals | 20% | Page load speed, layout shifts, payload size |
| SEO & Discoverability | 15% | Meta descriptions, OpenGraph, structured data |
| Best Practices & Hygiene | 10% | Modern HTML5 standards, console hygiene |
Severity Penalties
Within each category, individual rule violations deduct points based on their impact on real users:
- Critical (-15 pts): Blocks core user interactions or causes severe accessibility barriers (e.g., untabbable modal traps, missing form submission labels, major horizontal overflow breaking mobile navigation).
- Serious (-8 pts): Degrades user experience significantly (e.g., unreadable contrast ratios on main body copy, missing image alt text on functional buttons).
- Moderate (-3 pts): Minor styling inconsistencies, touch targets slightly below 24×24px, or missing secondary metadata.
- Minor (-1 pt): Best practice suggestions, such as optimizing SVG icon markup or updating deprecated CSS properties.
Score Thresholds & Badges
- 90 – 100 (Excellent): Production-ready. Satisfies high accessibility and performance standards.
- 75 – 89 (Good): Minor improvements recommended before major campaign releases.
- 50 – 74 (Needs Work): Significant accessibility or responsive defects detected.
- Below 50 (Critical): Immediate remediation needed to prevent user drop-off or legal exposure.
